More Goodies

Last night I finished more pumpkin guys. I am teaching a class tonight on making them. A little nervous but a great group signed up for the class. Don't understand why I get nervous teaching something I love so much. I guess like everyone else, I am afraid of looking like a dork:)

Here is some more of my work..........

Having fun

I love creating my new little people. They each have personality. Halloween has always been special. The dark, the smell of leaves on the ground. Saying only one more house and yo'll go home but you keep on going to the next house for more treats. Some people inviting you in for hot chocolate, homemade caramel popcorn balls or cookies. Such a innocent time. I feel blessed to have enjoyed that special time with my sister and friends. We would get home and dump our candy on the living room floor. Why mother sat in her rocking chair near buy, we would sort through the booty deciding which candy went in the keeper piles or what we would trade with each other. I can feel that time now. Just sitting here remembering.

Paint Every Where

Sometimes I feel like I have paint everywhere. In my hair, on my face, in my nose! I am trying to get some pics for this weekend to show what I have been doing all week.

still on the road to the Wool Festival

I'm up on eight pieces now. Not painted, just sculpted. Hoping I can have at least 100 pieces by then. I'll have to pull out the things that did not sell last year:) Here is another WIP. Hope you enjoy it.

We are trying to sell our house. I have to keep things tidy. That's a laugh. Every evening when I pull stuff out, back it goes when I go to bed. Cross your fingers for me, we really want this farm in Camp Springs. Friends of ours are selling it to us.

Back to the clay............

Gearing up for Halloween

I am very excited that this year I will be doing the Kentucky Wool Festival. I have done many local shows but the Wool Festival has always seemed very daunting. Three days, 10 til 10, 10 til 10, 10 til 6. I have heard from other vendors at my Christmas show that they have a really diverse selection of crafts and a very good crowd. I started this weekend on making my little guys for Halloween and Christmas. I am attaching a wip of one of them. No color yet. I like to do a lot of sculpting pieces before I clean them up and gesso them.

Halloween Art

Started working on my Halloween guys this month. Below is Pierre.  He is a very attractive fellow. He seems to have a surprised look on his face like someone goosed him:)
